Bhopal, 11 April 2021: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that there is rapid improvement as a result of the number of arrangements made since last one week to prevent the spread of Corona in the state. Citizens are now relieved with the availability of essential facilities for test, treatment, care and due to implementation of precautionary measures. The result of continuous detailed review is that now the number of positive cases will be reduced gradually. With public support, we will now overcome Corona. CM Chouhan was reviewing the Corona situation in the state in Mantralaya.

Officers in charge should make proper arrangements

Chief Minister Chouhan today sought a report from the officers regarding their visits to the districts and the condition of Corona in the districts under their charge. He instructed the officers in-charge that arrangements should be made in the districts after their visits. Regular monitoring of home isolation arrangements and operation of Covid Care Centers should be ensured. Information about available bed capacity in the hospitals of the district should also be made public. Every citizen, public representative and media representatives should be made aware of the arrangements. Medical Education Minister Vishwas Sarang, Chief Secretary Iqbal Singh Bains, Director General of Police Vivek Johri were present on the occasion. Health Minister Dr. Prabhuram Chaudhary joined the meeting online.

Remdesivir injection is sufficient in the state

Every effort has been made by the government to ensure smooth availability of Remdesivir injections. Instructions have been given to the manufacturers of the injection to increase the supply of the said drug in Madhya Pradesh. The government aims at ensuring the availability of Remdesivir injection at reasonable rates to all as per requirement. There should be no black marketing and illegal sale. Instructions have been issued to all drug inspectors. In compliance with this, drug inspectors conducted a total of 476 inspections in two days.

Efforts are being made to effectively control sale and black marketing at a price higher than the MRP. Continuous monitoring of the supply and distribution of Remdesivir injections is being monitored by drug inspectors. Arrangements have also been made to distribute Remdesivir injections only in hospitals and institutes, so that the injections can be made available to the patients admitted in the hospitals. The government has supplied 5 thousand units of this injection separately to all the medical colleges in the state, where maximum patients are being treated. Today, a total of 21 thousand 862 units have been supplied in the state.

By limiting the industrial use of oxygen, oxygen availability is being ensured for the first time. In order to prevent wastage and waste in hospitals and institutes, all concerned have been informed about the guidelines received from the Government of India.

Increase in arrangements in Bhopal

It was informed in the meeting that Covid Care Center has been started in Pt. Khushilal Sharma Ayurvedic College in the capital Bhopal. It is being ensured that the reports of the samples being taken in Bhopal come more quickly. In the new system, the person conducting the test will also be instructed to remain in isolation till the test report comes through a pamphlet or brochure. An additional 250 beds have been provided at Hamidia Hospital.

15 lakhs will be vaccinated in the next 3 days

In Madhya Pradesh, the work of vaccination for the control of corona infection is going well. The target is to vaccinate 15 lakhs citizens in the next 3 days. So far 54 lakh 89 thousand 191 people have been vaccinated in the state.

Additional Chief Secretary Health Mr. Mohammad Suleman said that a total of 5939 positive cases have been reported in the state. There are 2609 active cases in the state, while the recovered cases are 3,306. There have been a total of 24 death records. Madhya Pradesh today ranks ninth among the states of the country. In the first week of last week, there were more cases in Madhya Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh was at number five and sixth. Now this situation is starting to improve. Madhya Pradesh accounts for 3.3% of the corona patients in the country. The highest 45.5 percent patients in the country are in Maharashtra. The average positivity rate of Madhya Pradesh is 10.3%. This is lower than the average national rate of 12.6 percent. Cities in the state that have higher average positivity rates this week include Katni 35 percent, Bhopal 23, Barwani 21, Indore 15, Betul 16, Gwalior 14, Jabalpur 14, Khargone 15, Ujjain 11 and Ratlam 12 percent. 66% of the patients in the state are in home isolation. 34% of patients are admitted to hospitals. Government hospitals are using oxygen beds 53%, ICU and HDU beds 56% and isolation beds 14%. Bed utilization in private hospitals is 67.71 and 53% respectively.

Important Instructions of Chief Minister Shri Chouhan

  • Officers in charge get information about districts every morning and evening.

  • Isolation of workers coming from outside should be arranged.

  • Regular monitoring of oxygen system in every district.

  • The public should be informed daily about the bed capacity of the hospitals.

  • Death data to be analyzed. Do not add statistics on deaths from other causes to corona deaths.

  • Remdesivir injection regime should be adequate. If the injection is not mandatory, the medical experts keep this information clear. The fact that injection is not necessary for every positive patient should also be highlighted.

  • All arrangements related to the corona curfew are ensured by the administration.

  • Also provide the public with information about the relaxation for the necessary functions in the corona curfew.
