Remdesivir and oxygen supply according to demand

Bhopal, 11 April 2021: Medical Education Minister Vishwas Kailash Sarang said that Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan is constantly reviewing the situation of Corona in the state. Even today, the Chief Minister has reviewed and directed that Covid Care Centres should be set up and activated in all the districts. These centres have already been established at almost all places. He has instructed that those who are in home isolation should be monitored twice a day through the Control and Command Centre and they should be given medical assistance and communication with them should also be held. Instructions have also been given to do physical verification of patients in home isolation. It has been assessed that there is a smooth arrangement of oxygen in all the hospitals. At the state level, different officers have also been given the responsibility of oxygen, remdesivir etc.

Minister Sarang said that to prevent infection, it has been told to conduct public awareness campaigns at the district level. Volunteers’ help is also being taken to create social consciousness among the people. Today, a total of 21 thousand 862 units of remdesivir have been supplied in the state. They have been distributed in various districts of the state. Orders have been given to the drug inspector in this regard so that there is no black marketing. Also, instructions have been given to monitor so that no one should sell it at a price higher than the MRP. In the last two days, 476 inspections have also been done. About 244 metric tonnes of oxygen is being made available daily in the state, which is almost equal to the demand.
