Rajouri, 11th August 2022: In a terrorist attack 25 km from Rajouri, Jammu and Kashmir, two terrorists carried out a suicide attack on the operating base of an army company. According to ANI, quoting an Indian Army Officer, both terrorists were killed in retaliation. Three soldiers of the army were also martyred. The operation is still ongoing.

Two terrorists, who were trying to infiltrate an army camp at Pargal in the Rajouri Darhal area, were gunned down early Thursday, a senior police officer said. According to Mukesh Singh, Additional Director General of Police, Jammu Zone, five Army personnel were also injured in the attack. Security officials have cordoned off the area, and additional teams have been sent to the site. He said, “Terrorists tried to cross the fence of the army camp at Pargal near Budh Kanadi in Darhal area of Rajouri district in the early hours. The sentry on guard duty challenged them. There was firing from both sides.” Officials said it was a suicide attack that was foiled by the alert sentry on guard duty. Earlier on Wednesday, three Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terrorists were killed in an encounter by security forces in Budgam district.

Kashmir’s Additional Director General of Police (Kashmir Division), Vijay Kumar, tweeted, “Three hiding terrorists of Lashkar-e-Taiba have been neutralised. Bodies are being retrieved from the spot, whose identity is yet to be ascertained. Incriminating material, arms, and ammunition were recovered. This is a big success for us.”
