Bhopal, April 10, 2021: Amidst the prospering cases of Corona in Madhya Pradesh, the state government has announced a lockdown in some more cities and extended the period till April 19 in some cities. It has announced to extend the lockdown till 6 am on April 19 in Indore, Barwani, Rajgarh, Vidisha (Urban-Rural), Rau Nagar, Mahunagar and Shajapur, Ujjain, then from April 12 to 22 in Balaghat, Narsinghpur, Seoni and Jabalpur. Lockdown will remain. This decision has been taken in the meeting of CM Shivraj Singh Chauhan from District Disaster Management Group.
Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan said on Saturday that because of increasing cases of Coronavirus infection, the number of patients undergoing Covid-19 in Madhya Pradesh could reach one lakh by the end of this month. “The speed with which coronavirus infection is increasing in the state, the number of under-trained patients can reach one lakh by the end of this month, Chauhan told media personnel. We are trying to stop it in the middle and have started taking up other steps including lockdown. ”
Chauhan said, “Up to three days ago, 60 metric tons of oxygen was supplied per day. On Friday, 180 metric tonnes of oxygen was supplied to the state. ”The Chief Minister said that oxygen should be used judiciously. Recently, in some cities of the state, there were reports of a shortage of Remdesivir injection used in the treatment of Covid-19 patients.
To this, Chauhan said, “We have received 2000 injections (Remdesvir) on Thursday. The state government has decided to purchase one lakh injections and it started getting available. We will also be having 350 ventilators soon from the centre”. The chief minister has appealed to the people to avoid needlessly venturing out of the house to help prevent the spread of coronavirus. The Chief Minister said that he will hold an online meeting with the District Disaster Management Committees on Saturday on the state of the epidemic.
Madhya Pradesh reported the highest number of 4,882 new cases of coronavirus infection on Friday and with this, the total number of people found infected with the virus so far has risen to 3,27,220 in the state. In the state, 23 more people died due to the disease in 24 hours. So far, the number of people who have died from this disease has reached 4,136 in the state.
On Friday, 887 new cases of Covid-19 came in Indore, while 686 new cases were reported in Bhopal. The official said that out of a total of 3,27,220 infected people in the state, 2,92,598 patients have gone home healthy and 30,486 patients are being treated in various hospitals. On Friday, 2,433 patients were discharged from the hospital after recovering.
