Kashmir, 7th December 2022: According to reports, four of the eight Kashmir-based journalists who have received online threats from terrorists have quit their jobs. This was revealed by Union Minister of State for Home Nityanand Rai today (December 7), in the Rajya Sabha.
According to Rai, a case has been registered regarding the same at the Shergari police station in Srinagar.

Rai informed, “According to reports, the terrorist blog ‘Kashmir Fight’ threatened eight journalists who worked for local media in Srinagar. There have been four media resignations. The media professionals who left belonged to the publication ‘Rising Kashmir’.

The minister claimed that Jammu and Kashmir’s security situation has greatly improved and that the government has a zero-tolerance stance toward terrorists.

He claimed that the government had taken several measures to safeguard citizens’ lives from terrorist threats and attacks, including media personnel. These measures included proactive security arrangements in which a security grid made up of the police, army, paramilitary, and intelligence agencies remained stationed throughout Jammu and Kashmir to thwart any threat or attempt from terrorists or their handlers.
