Bhopal, 20 April 2021: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that it is possible to face Covid crisis only with the cooperation of government and society. Chief Minister Chouhan expressed gratitude for the arrangements and other innovations made by the voluntary organizations in the state for setting up Covid Care Centers. This type of innovative initiative will be of great help in facing the consequences of Covid and spreading a sense of positivity in the society. The state government is always ready to extend all possible support to these organizations. Chief Minister Chouhan said that the doctors and their teams have faced Covid infection with courage, spirit of service and cooperation. It has increased the confidence of the people. Chief Minister Chouhan was interacting with voluntary organizations and senior doctors virtually at his residence.

Chief Minister Chouhan expressed gratitude towards Radhaswami Satsang Vyas and other organizations for initiating and developing Maa Ahilyabai Covid Care Centre in Indore, Citizens Forum for Covid Response for Covid Care Center at Ujjain, Dada Virendra Puri Ji Netra Sansthan for Covid Hospital in Jabalpur and the Sagar Group for developing Covid Care Centre in Bhopal. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan interacted with the office bearers of these institutions besides Dr. Ravi Doshi of Sri Aurobindo Institute of Medical Science Indore, Dr. PK Pandey of National Hospital, Bhopal and Dr. Shailendra Vyas of Metro Hospital Jabalpur.

125 oxygen concentrators acquired through public support

About Maa Ahilya Bai Covid Care Center being set up at Indore on the initiative of Radhaswami Satsang Vyas and other organizations Dr. HS Patel and Dr. Nishant Khare, said that this center could be established in a short time only as a result of the solidarity of the government and society. The 10-phased centre will have 6 thousand 200 beds, in the first phase a 600-bed facility will start from tomorrow. Bombay Hospital, Medanta, Apollo and Choithram Hospital will provide medical services to this center. 125 oxygen concentrators, oxygen plants, X-ray machines and labs are being set up with public assistance.

Special efforts will be made to make patients positive and optimistic

Shri Sudhir Aggarwal of Sagar Group of Bhopal informed that a 500-bed Covid Care Center is being started by his group in an area of ​​12 acres in Engineering College. Special efforts are being made to keep patients positive and optimistic along with arrangements of treatment in this center.

Covid Care Center to be developed in Police Training School

Chairman of Ujjain Seva Bharati, associated with Ujjain Citizen’s Forum for Covid Response, Shri Ravi Solanki and President of Indian Medical Association, Dr. Katyayan Mishra informed that a 200-bed Covid Care Center is being immediately developed in Ujjain’s Police Training School. It will be expanded to accommodate 700 beds. Medical arrangements will be made available here in collaboration with the Indian Medical Association of Ujjain. Other arrangements will be operated in collaboration with government departments and voluntary organizations.

Arrangement of 200 oxygen beds

Dr. Pawan Sthapak of Covid Hospital operated by Dada Virendra Puri Eye Institute in Jabalpur said that 200 out of 250 beds in Devashree Nethralaya have been reserved for Covid affected people of which, 10 are ICU beds. Red Cross and other organizations are providing necessary support.

Ban on family members visiting hospital must

Doctors gave suggestions regarding the management and treatment of Covid infection during an interaction with the Chief Minister. Dr. Ravi Doshi of Aurobindo Institute, Indore said that the possibility of spreading the infection increases with the arrival of the relatives of the Covid patient in the hospital. Infection is further spread by these family members when they visit the market and their colonies. Therefore, it is necessary to ban them from coming to hospitals.

Vaccination must in mohallas and colonies

Dr. PK Pandey of National Hospital Bhopal said that it is necessary to make arrangements for the protection of health workers from infection. Dr. Pandey stated the need to carry out vaccination programme in mohallas and colonies through mobile vans. He said that this could reduce the chances of infection in persons coming to the hospital for vaccination. Dr. Pandey said that it is necessary to maintain special vigilance for the next three-four weeks.

MBBS and nursing students should be trained so that their services can be taken

Dr. Shailendra Rajput of Metro Hospital Jabalpur said that the pandemic is like a war. Appreciating the preparations made by the state government for this war, Dr. Rajput said that MBBS and Nursing students should be given 10 to 15 days practical training and their services can then be availed in the management of Corona infection. He also stressed the need to have a decentralized training system.

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that necessary technical arrangements are being made to provide information about the condition and treatment of patients to their families at home.
