Many students are confused that they have to pass separately in the objective and subjective section, but this is not the case. To clear a paper, your total marks will be counted. If a student fails in the compulsory subject, the board will take the marks of the additional subject chosen by the student and will be passed on to the student.

In practical subjects including social science and science, the student will be required to pass in both theory and internal assessment. If a student fails with a few numbers in one or two subjects, the Bihar Board can pass the candidate by adding grace marks. But so far Bihar Board has not given any latest update regarding Grace Marks.

Last year, more than 2.14 lakh students were passed with grace marks in Matriculation and Intermediate examination. 1,32,486 students of class 12 examination failed in one or two subjects and 72,610 of them passed. At the same time, 2,08,147 students in 10 exams had failed in one or two subjects in the examination. Of these, 1,41,677 students have been passed by giving grace marks.
