Patna, April 06, 2021: Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has approved eight agendas in the cabinet meeting. The meeting was chaired by him on Tuesday. A subsidy of Rs 6043 crores has been approved under the Chief Minister’s Electricity Consumer Assistance Scheme. The Health Department was recommended to set up an E-Tender Metal Scrap Trade Corporation, or MSTC, to sell junk vehicles and equipment.

Taking a decision in the cabinet, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has approved to increase in the honorarium of guest part-time faculty working in the state’s universities and adjoining colleges. Earlier, Rs 1000 per class was given to the guest faculty of Bihar, now it has been increased to Rs 1500. At the same time, the guest faculty was given a class of up to Rs 25 thousand only. Now it has been increased to Rs 50 thousand. There are 1600 guest faculty all over Bihar. In the coming time, more guest faculty will be selected. A committee headed by the Vice-Chancellor (VC) of Patna University (PU) will also be formed. The Nitish cabinet has approved an amendment in the composition of the selection committee to be constituted for an appointment and partial amendment in the House of Services relating to their appointment.

In order to ensure that there will be no problem for the elders in Bihar. Chief Minister Old Age Shelter Site Scheme has been approved. Sanction has also been granted for a 6950 housing capacity of 100 beds for the elderly and 50 beds in the subdivision at each district headquarters.

In the cabinet, 28 posts have been created for the Gazette and Gazetted in the Bihar Technical Services Commission. At the same time, the posts of three drivers have been approved in the Bihar Information Commission by the cabinet. Approval has been given to create a post of legal officer in Bihar Technical Services Commission.
