Patna, 27 February 2021: While answering the Education Department’s question in the Legislative Council on Friday, Education Minister Vijay Kumar Choudhary said that the government would soon release the notifications for the appointments of Liberians in Schools and colleges. Staff Selection Commission (BSSC) will conduct the appointment process.

He said that Librarian appointments would soon be done in the higher secondary schools and adopted state colleges. 300 Liberians will be appointed in higher secondary schools, and 900 Liberians will be appointed in the state colleges.

The government is preparing the manual for the Librarian eligibility test. The Education Minister told the House that it would soon hold the discussion to conduct the eligibility test and assess the need of the Librarian.

The appointment of assistant librarian/library assistant in colleges to the third class post will be made at the universities’ level. The Staff Selection Commission will be given this responsibility to bring transparency in teaching personnel’s recruitment process. In this regard, the amendment of the provision mentioned in the relevant section of the Bihar University Act is under process.
