Lucknow, 4th June: Just before the assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh, there may be an entry of Arvind Kumar Sharma, a close aide of PM Narendra Modi in the state government.
According to BJP sources, the party has decided to contest the 2022 assembly elections under the leadership of CM Yogi Adityanath and state president Swatantra Dev Singh, there is definitely a big reshuffle in the cabinet.
Previously, BJP’s general secretary BL Santosh had reached Uttar Pradesh and had separately met many ministers and MLAs of the state. A meeting of the top leadership was held in Delhi regarding UP. Since then, there were many speculations made that there was some tussle in the UP government.
Even though the BJP has put an end to the speculations by indicating that Yogi Adityanath and Swatantra Dev Singh will be retained, the situation still looks unsure. It is clear that BJP will not take any decision regarding the current CM. The party’s sources say that there may be major changes in Yogi Adityanath’s cabinet this month. This decision was taken on the basis of the feedback received in the meetings, held by general secretary BL Santosh and UP in-charge Radha Mohan Singh with the ministers and MLAs of the party.
The team of BL Santosh and Radha Mohan Singh had a meeting with CM Yogi Adityanath, Deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya besides many ministers and MLAs. The feedback has been conveyed to the central leadership. It is believed that both the leaders were sent by the BJP at the behest of the RSS. At the end of May, Sarkaryavah Dattatreya Hosabale of the RSS also came to Lucknow for both days. It was believed that he too, was staying for the feedback on the functioning of the government in UP and the preparations related to the assembly elections.
Not only this, but BJP Chief JP Nadda is also going to meet on fifth and sixth June in Delhi, keeping the assembly elections in mind which are to be held in many states including UP next year. Apart from this, he will also visit UP next month, in which he can discuss the reshuffle amidst the party.
