Lucknow, 29th May 2021: High School (Class 10) examination of Uttar Pradesh Secondary Education Council (UPMSP) has been canceled. Deputy Chief Minister Dr Dinesh Sharma told the media today that all the students will be promoted to the 11th grade.
Dr Sharma informed that UP Board 12th examinations could be conducted in the second week of July. This time the exam will be 1.5 hours instead of 3 hours in which, students will have to write answers to only 3 questions out of 10.
Now, the UP Board 10th result will be declared based on previous examinations and internal assessments. With this, the UP government will soon decide on the Inter (12th) exam timetable in two to three days.
It is noteworthy to mention that, for the last several days, the UP Board has been preparing the results by canceling the 10th examination. The UP Board 10th examinations have been canceled for the first time in history. Earlier, boards like CBSE, ICSCE, MP Board, Punjab Board, Haryana Board, etc. had also announced the cancellation of the Class 10 examination.
Deputy CM Sharma said, “While Covid is at its peak, officers have been assessed from time to time. Out of 19 officers who were handling the board examinations, 17 were found to be infected. After everyone is healthy, we will discuss with each other and communicate with the Chief Minister. Only then some decision will be taken. CBSE board has seats for 10 to 15 lakh students. The UP board is the world’s largest with 55-56 lakh students. The Chief Minister himself was going to monitor the preparations for the exam.”
