Delhi, 14th December 2022: In the Dwarka area of the national capital Delhi, there was an incident of acid throwing on a 17-year-old girl student on Wednesday morning, which shook the heart of the entire country. In this case, the police have arrested three accused. Along with the family members, the people of the whole country are agitated over the incident of the acid attack.
Expressing displeasure over the matter, Delhi Women’s Commission Chairperson Swati Maliwal has raised many questions about the administration. Swati Maliwal, raising the issue of the retail sale of acid prominently, said that it is unfortunate that despite repeated calls from the commission, the retail sale of acid is continuing. Retail sales have not yet been banned. She further added that it is quite easy to get acid in Delhi.
Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has expressed strong displeasure over this matter. He tweeted that this cannot be tolerated at all. He raised the question of how criminals get so much courage. He said that the safety of every girl in Delhi is important and criminals should be given the harshest punishment. Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia retweeted Kejriwal’s tweet, supporting his point.
