Bhopal, 18th June 2022: In the last 39 years, not a single FIR has been registered in a village in Bundelkhand, Madhya Pradesh. In Hathivar Khirak village of Prithvipur police station area of ​​Niwari, all the disputes are resolved through mutual panchayat in the village.
The people resolve big disputes by mutual consent and the situation is that neither the police have reached this village for years nor the people of the village have seen the police station for 39 years.
The village has a population of 255 people and the people of the Pal and Ahirwar community mainly reside here. Agriculture and goat rearing is the main occupation of people in the village.
Pyaari Bai Pal, a 100-year-old woman from the village, says, “She never knew that there was any dispute in the village.”
Santosh Patel, Police Sub-Divisional Officer said that after getting information about the village, he got the Village Crime Notebook (VCNB) checked and saw that no crime has been registered here since 1983 till date.
