Bhopal, 23 April 2021: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has told to ensure uninterrupted transportation of oxygen tankers. It should be closely monitored at all levels. Backup arrangements should also be ensured. Chief Minister Chouhan said that the pressure on hospitals can be reduced by making the system of home isolation effective. He said that information regarding patients shifted from Covid Care Centers to hospitals should be collected and necessary improvements should be made on the basis of its study. Chief Minister Chouhan was addressing a meeting of the Core Group from his residence through video conference today.

Corona curfew proving effective

Chief Minister Chouhan said that Corona curfew is proving to be effective in breaking the chain of Corona infection. The number of cases is almost constant in the last ten days. This has been made possible by the effective implementation of Corona curfew by the public. Effective efforts to control infection have been made in districts like Chhindwara, Burhanpur and Khandwa. He stressed the need for continuous efforts in this direction.

Door to door distribution of medical kits in rural areas

Chief Minister Chouhan was informed in the meeting that infected people living in home isolation in rural and urban areas are being contacted regularly on phone. Medical kits are being distributed in rural, urban areas. Kits have been distributed on a door-to-door basis by ASHA workers in rural areas. Covid Care Centers have been set up in all gram panchayats. They have also been linked to the helpline.

Arrangements of 523 Oxygen beds made in Covid Care Centers

There are 8 thousand 472 Covid Care Centers in the state. Oxygen beds are also being arranged in them. So far 523 beds are ready, of which 56 percent are full. Construction of ICU beds through public support is being done at a fast pace by Radha Swami Satsang in Indore. Construction of one thousand bed hospital in Bina is also going on at a rapid pace. Apart from the requirement of oxygen of the hospital, arrangements for supply of about 80 tonnes of oxygen are also being made.

Medical backup will be available from Covid Care Center in Bhopal

Efforts have been made to provide medical backup in Bhopal district through a 500-bed Covid Care Center. Arrangement of two doctors and six nurses has been ensured in this center. Apart from this, Covid Care Centers are also being built by various communities. The work of developing Katju Hospital as a Super Specialty Covid Care Center is also progressing at a fast pace.

More than one lakh Corona Warriors registered

More than one lakh two thousand volunteers have been registered in four categories as Corona Warriors in the state. All the volunteers will follow the Vedic way of life and protect themselves as well as help in the protection of health of others. It was informed in the meeting that 72 percent of the infected persons in the state are in home isolation. Nearly 28 percent of the infected persons are undergoing treatment in the hospitals. The number of cases in the state has become stable. In Bhopal, Indore, Jabalpur and Gwalior also, the number of infected persons has stabilized.
