New Delhi, 8th December 2022: Microsoft introduced a new feature called, ‘Communities’ which will be added to its video conferencing software, ‘Teams’. This will be available on Android and iOS.

According to a blog post published by the company on Wednesday (December 7), the ‘Communities’ feature enables users to connect, share, and collaborate.

The following are the uses of the new feature:

• Users can easily plan events and post them to the community calendar for everyone to see.
• They can also quickly post messages to the group’s entire membership.
• Users can filter content to quickly access photos, videos, events, and links.
• They can also share and store documents intended for group activity.
• Owners of communities can control settings, establish community norms, and keep an eye on content by adding or removing users and posts as needed. This will help community members feel safe.
• It also provides a brand-new event management platform for planning online, hybrid, or physical events.
• Users can easily add dial-in information and a link to online events to make it simple for participants to take part.
• Users can enter a venue for in-person events and provide participants with precise directions using a visual map.

Additionally, Microsoft stated, “starting in 2023, people will be able to use SignUpGenius within Teams to find volunteers, plan events, and manage a variety of sign-ups.”
