Ludhiana, May 29, 2023: Today marks the one-year anniversary of the tragic demise of Sidhu Moosewala, a beloved Punjabi musician and songwriter known for his impactful music and immense popularity. On this solemn day, prayers were offered in Jawahar Ke village, Mansa district, to honor the memory of the Punjabi singer who was fatally shot by a group of assailants associated with Goldie Brar and gangster Lawrence Bishnoi’s gang in Jawarke village.
Moosewala’s mother paid a heartfelt visit to the site where her son’s life was tragically cut short, evoking a deep sense of sorrow and remembrance. As part of the preparations for the first anniversary, posters of Sidhu Moosewala have been displayed across the village, and arrangements have been made to distribute cool water bottles throughout the community after the Sahaj Path.
Being born and raised in the village, a symbolic “Insaaf Do March” will be led from Mansa’s Gurdwara Singh Sabha to the bus stop in the evening to honor the memory of the late artist.
In connection with the case, the police have identified 35 suspects, of whom four have passed away and four are currently abroad. The authorities are diligently working to bring them back to India. The police have named gangsters Goldie Brar, Anmol Bishnoi, Sachin Thapan, and Lipin Nehra as the prime suspects responsible for Sidhu’s murder. Efforts are underway to apprehend these culprits, who are still at large.
