SRINAGAR, JULY 27, 2020:- The Integrated Child Protection Services (ICPS) today started its training programme and Information Education Communication (IEC) activities through webinar for effective implementation of the child protection services at the grassroot level.
The training commenced today with main focus on Juvenile Justice Act, 2015 which has been recently extended to Jammu and Kashmir.
Mission Director ICPS while inaugurating the training programme emphasised on the critical need of sensitization and awareness on the Juvenile Justice Act besides need to improve the critical child protection services.
The training was conducted by child protection experts including Executive Director HAQ Centre for Child Rights, Bharti Ali and Child Rights Specialist and Advocate, Anant Asthana.
The training was attended by 300 participants including members of the Child welfare committee, Juvenile Justice Board and officials from District child protection units.
