REASI, NOVEMBER 05, 2020: A Webinar-cum-Training Programme was today organized by District Industries Centre Reasi in collaboration with GeM, Ministry of Commerce, Government of India for registration on GeM portal.

The online training for registration on GeM was organized on the directions and supervision of Commissioner Secretary to Government Industries & Commerce Department, Manoj Kumar Dwivedi, Director, Industries and Commerce, Jammu, Anoo Malhotra and Deputy Commissioner Reasi, Indu Kanwal Chib.

General Manager, DIC Reasi, Muhammad Sayeed, gave a brief outline of the training process and threw light on the importance and implication of the GeM Portal vis a vis business community willing to buy and sell their commodities or products on a common & one-stop-shop platform.

Over 100 entrepreneurs participated in the live training imparted by the GeM in collaboration with the finance Department. Kush Tyagi, a guest training faculty, provided valuable inputs regarding the introduction, its inception, and registration on GeM Portal.

Later, a question-answer session was also held wherein different entrepreneurs raised various queries which were satisfactorily responded to by the guest faculty. Besides this, the Functional Manager of the DIC Reasi gave a detailed description of the Industrial Development Scheme with special thrust on PMEGP along with the procedure of different registrations e.g. Udyam, UAM & GeM.

The participants were also informed to register themselves with DIC Reasi to avail maximum benefits in the form of subsidies provided by the Government for the progress of local entrepreneurs with a special focus on traditional artisans.

Functional Managers, DIC Reasi Sunil Kumar presented the vote of thanks and assured the participants all possible assistance for the registration process on GeM Portal from DIC office Reasi.
