RAJOURI, MARCH, 30, 2021: Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Rajesh K Shavan today releases Rs 34.04500 Lakh scholarship including Rs 32.045 lakh for school education and Rs 2.00 lakh for higher education for the wards of the registered labourers.
Assistant Labour Commissioner, Angrej Singh was present on the occasion.
The scholarship has been provided by the Labour Department under the Jammu and Kashmir Building and other construction welfare board scheme. Under this scheme, the children of the registered labourers are provided with academic and professional scholarship besides other social assistance.
Deputy Commissioner directed the ALC to get all the genuine labourers of the district registered with the labour department so that they can avail the benefits of various welfare schemes being implemented by the department.
