GANDERBAL, OCTOBER 24: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ganderbal, Shafqat Iqbal today made a surprise visit to 200 bedded District Hospital to take stock of ongoing works besides, its functioning.

The DC took stock of various ongoing works of the complex including emergency block, OPD, IPD, Administrative block besides status of firefighting and Central Heating System.

On the occasion, the officials of JKPCC briefed the DC about the physical and financial progress of ongoing works and was informed that 90 percent work on OPD and over 80 percent work on IPD block is completed besides Fire Fighting work is also in full swing.

He urged the executing agency to expedite the progress and complete the pending works as soon as possible so that the hospital is made fully functional to the general public.

While reviewing the progress on Central Heating System, the DC directed the executing agency to ensure Central Heating System is installed before the onset of winter season and made functional well on time so that patients do not suffer during winters.

Meanwhile, the DC also inspected the COVID Care centre and inspected the facilities made available for the COVID positive patients and also took stock of RTPCR sampling and Rapid Antigen Testing there.

During the visit, the DC was accompanied by CMO Ganderbal and officials from JKPCC.
