Ajmer, 7th May 2022: Fake bundles of 2000 rupee notes suddenly started floating in Anasagar lake in the Ajmer district of Rajasthan. The police have recovered the entire cash from the lake. Due to the wet note, the counting has not been done yet.
Anasagar SP Baldev Singh said that they had got information regarding the bundles of 2000 rupees notes lying in water in Anasagar lake.
After this, the police reached the spot and recovered all the notes. The notes were wet due to being in the water. Because of this, they are not being counted. SP Singh said that as soon as the notes dry up, the counting will be done. At the same time, the investigation of the whole matter has been started.
According to media reports, the notes are being said to be fake. Although the Reserve Bank of India is being said to be written on the notes. Police said that some people were walking on the banks of Anasagar lake. During this, they saw the notes floating in the water in a plastic bag.
People were surprised to see so many notes floating in the water. After this, the people present on the spot informed the police about the matter. Police said that the notes are fake. This act has been done by some mischievous elements. The police are conducting a further investigation regarding this matter.
