Patna, April 29, 2021: Looking at the rising COVID-19 cases in Bihar, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has given a new instruction on Thursday. The government has decided to make vegetables available for citizens online. The government will launch the service in two districts in Bihar initially.
The Bihar government has decided that vegetables should be provided to the citizens at their doorsteps through the State Cooperative Department.
Initially, the service will begin in Patna and Motihari. After success in these two cities, the service will be implemented in other districts too. People living in Patna and Motihari will now be able to purchase vegetables online. For this, they have to visit the website www.tarkaarimart.in and order their favourite vegetables.
Vandana Preyasi, Secretary of the Cooperative Department, said, “Keeping the chief minister’s directive in mind and to avoid crowding at the mandis (vegetable markets), the online vegetable, vegetarian-fed brand Tarkari has taken the initiative to launch the service. Tarkari’s team has worked hard to create a website in a very short time. It is our endeavour to make deliver the vegetables on time. We are also contacting farmers in the state. We will give our orders to the farmers. After which, they will provide fresh green vegetables to us and we will deliver the vegetables to the people’s homes after receiving orders through the website. People in Patna and Motihari can purchase vegetables on the website www.tarkaarimart.in.”
