Patna, May 7, 2021: The police personals of the Kankarbagh police station in Patna are battling the coronavirus (COVID-19) the most. The pandemic has affected not only policemen but also the whole area. There are around 851 positive COVID-19 cases in Kankarbagh, while 672 cases have been recorded in the Shastri Nagar police station area. The COVID-19 is spreading rapidly in 33 police stations in the district. With the rise in COVID-19 cases, the responsibility of the police officials is also increasing. Along with law and order, the police also have to manage the COVID-19 contingencies.

9 police stations have more than 400 cases

There are nine police station areas in Patna where over 400 positive COVID-19 cases were recorded. As per the data provided by the Health Department, as many as 851 COVID-19 cases were reported in Kankarbagh, 672 in Shastri Nagar, 461 in Rupaspur, 450 in Phulwari Sharif, 445 in Gardnibagh, 443 in Danapur, 439 in Kadamkuan, 420 in Agamkuan, and 410 in Jakkanpur police station area.

16 police stations have more than 200 cases

Areas falling under 16 police stations in Patna have recorded more than 200 positive COVID-19 cases that include 368 cases in Barh, 360 in Rajiv Nagar, 323 in Alamganj, 315 in Beur, 315 in Pataliputra, 291 in Buddha Colony, 289 in SK Puri, 288 in Digha, 280 in Pirbahor, 266 in Ramakrishna Nagar, 254 in Sultanganj, 251 in Chowk, 236 in Khajekla, 234 in Fatuha, 228 in Patrakar Nagar, and 209 in Bahadurpur area.

More than 100 cases in 8 police stations

There are 8 police station areas of Patna where more than 100 positive COVID-19 cases have been reported. Of these, 199 cases are in Bakhtiyarpur, 187 in Gandhi Maidan, 169 in Mokama, 154 in Kotwali, 131 in Khagaul, 130 in Malsalami, 121 in Bihata, and 120 in the Parsa Bazar police station area.

23 police stations have less than 100 cases

There are 23 police station areas in Patna where there are less than 100 positive COVID-19 cases.
