Patna, 8th May 2021: The Mahavir Temple Trust (Mahavir Mandir Nyas) has started a 40-bed COVID hospital at Mahavir Arogya Sansthan. Acharya Kishore Kunal, secretary of the Mahavir Temple Trust inaugurated the service on Friday.

During the inauguration, Acharya Kishore Kunal said, “Apart from the Mahavir Arogya Sansthan’s doctors, the hospital will get valuable suggestion from Bihar origin people presently working in the USA. The hospital will even appoint new doctors.”

He announced a grant of rupees one million on behalf of Mahavir Temple Trust to Mahavir Arogya Sansthan for the service of COVID patients.  “The doctors and medical personnel serving the corona patients with dedication will also be honoured in the Mahavir temple,” he said.

Acharya Kunal also praised Dr SC Mishra, Director of Mahavir Arogya Sansthan. He completed all preparations in the institute for COVID treatment despite his son being affected by the pandemic. Former PMCH Principal and Director of Mahavir Vatsalya Hospital, Dr SN Sinha, will also play an active role in the hospital, he added.

Former IAS officer and Director of Mahavir Arogya Sansthan, Dr SC Mishra said, “Corona patients will be treated at the government’s fixed rate for hospitalization and other required facilities. Telephone number 0612-2384221 has been issued. Mahavir Arogya Sansthan’s administrative officer Pavitra De has been appointed as nodal officer for COVID Hospital.”
