Patna, February 15, 2021: A review meeting of the Science and Technology Department was held under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today.

In the meeting, the secretary of the department, Lokesh Kumar Singh gave detailed information about the vision-mission and main plans of the department.

Chief Minister has instructed the officials that some districts have not completed construction work of technical institutes and they must expedite the work.

“Along with the construction of buildings of technical institutions, they should also make proper arrangements for maintenance of the building. Depute qualified faculty for teaching in technical institutions so that students to get a high-quality education. Also, establish a placement cell for students to get jobs. Associate the engineering colleges here with the IITs, NITs, IIITs established in the state and also high tech institutes outside the state so that their quality can be further enhanced,” the Chief Minister said.

The meeting was attended by Science and Technology Minister Sumit Kumar Singh, Chief Secretary Deepak Kumar, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Chanchal Kumar, Chief Minister’s Secretary Manish Kumar Verma, Chief Minister’s Secretary Anupam Kumar, Chief Minister’s Special Functions Officer Gopal Singh and other senior officials.
