Patna, 7th April 2021: In the last 24 hours, the Bihar state health department reported 1527 positive cases of Coronavirus Disease (COVID19). This is the first time after five months that positive cases have crossed the 1500 mark in the state. In Patna alone, 522 new cases have been reported in 24 hours.

The state Health Department has prepared for future threats. As per the report, 4 resident doctors and 4 nurses of Patna AIIMS have been found positive. Apart from the capital, Gaya also broke records of positive cases. The district reported 124 new cases in the 24 hours.

In many districts along with Patna and Gaya, the situation is deteriorating. In Bhagalpur, 78 new cases were reported on Wednesday, while in Jehanabad 68 people reported positive. In Muzaffarpur, 74 people have been found corona positive in a single day. 33 in Arwal, 31 in Aurangabad, 27 in Begusarai, 39 in Bhojpur, 14 in Darbhanga, 19 in East Champaran, 31 in Gopalganj, 13 in Kaimur, 14 in Lakhisarai, 21 in Madhepura, 18 in Madhubani, 32 in Munger, 22 in Nalanda, 21 in Nawada, 23 in Purnia, 34 in Rohtas, 30 in Saharsa, 33 in Saran, 13 in Samastipur, 17 in Sheikhpura, 14 in Sitamarhi, 32 in Siwan, 28 each in Vaishali and West Champaran.
