JAMMU, OCTOBER 10, 2020: The idea of Back to Village program envisages a 360 degree event to cover all the aspects of rural life and set in motion the tempo for economic well being of people residing in the rural areas.
It acts as an umbrella program of the administration for taking the governance to the doorsteps of common masses, both facilitating their work & redressing their grievances.
Sticking to its core idea, a wide range of activities were held to cover the areas concerning villages and rural areas during Phase 3 of B2V.
The focus pointed on energizing Panchayat, collecting feedback on the delivery of government programmes, capturing specific economic potential and undertaking need based assessment of the villages.
The camps were organized for awareness of common masses about the government schemes implemented by different departments through stalls, while distribution of Domicile certificates and delivery of other revenue services attracted the people most.
The program laid specific attention on the differently abbled persons in rural areas to ensure that they are not left behind in tasting the doorstep service.
Motorized tricycles, wheel chairs, hearing aids, walking sticks and other prosthetic equipment were presented to the persons with disabilities.
The top brass of the administration reached the farthest corners of JKUT to attend to the last person in the queue.
The visiting officer distributed domicile certificates, Soil Health cards, Education kits. Agriculture and Horticulture equipments like power tillers, weeders, autos, tractor and other equipments were given away to the farmers and orchardists besides cheques to the beneficiaries under various schemes of Sericulture and Labour departments were distributed by the visiting officer.
