GANDERBAL/ BANDIPORA, SEPTEMBER 29, 2020: The District Administrations of Ganderbal and Bandipora today organized a day-long training session for the visiting officers with an aim to make Back to Village phase 3rd (B2V3) more successful and result orientated.
On the occasion, the master trainers imparted training to the visiting officers and enlightened them about the motive behind organising programmes like Jan Abhiyaan and B2V3.
At Ganderbal: The training was imparted under the supervision of District Development Commissioner, Shafqat Iqbal.
It was given out that 126 Panchayat Halqas of various blocks are to be covered across the district under Back to village phase-III.
Speaking on the occasion, DDC highlighted the significance of the Back to village programme saying that the programme has the sole aim of bringing governance at the doorsteps of the people and involve local populace in the developmental activities as per their needs.
He also urged the participants to hold meetings with PRIs and prominent members of Gram Panchayat to get feedback about the action taken regarding the demands raised in previous Back to Village programs.
Later, the booklets about various activities to be conducted during the 3nd Phase of the programme were distributed among the visiting officers.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal, Farooq Ahmed Baba and Chief Planning Officer were also present on the occasion.
At Bandipora: The officers were briefed about their working during their stay in the respective Panchayats including the visit to important establishments/ institutions such as school, PHC and other government offices besides, various areas and wards of the Panchayat.
They were also informed to undertake inspection of works being carried out in the panchayats under various schemes like MGNREGA, 14 FC, B2V and other government programs.
A suggested activity schedule has been prepared for the visiting officer and it shall be incumbent on the officer to ensure that all activities and elements mentioned in the schedule are carried out/ covered fully.
The training session was attended by all the officers related with B2V3 keeping COVID protocol and ensuring that the same is to be followed during B2V3.
