SRINAGAR, OCTOBER 09, 2020: The Back to Village (B2V3) has set in motion a new development spree in rural J&K to create vibrant basic infrastructure for socio- economic progress of rural J&K.
The thrust is also on provisioning assured basic facilities for the ruralites by filling the infrastructural gap for smooth and effective delivery of public services.
The development initiatives range from taking up big to small infrastructural projects keeping in view the concerns, issues & demands of the people of each region. The thrust has been laid on need based infrastructural projects. Many of them have been started, while several already completed are being inaugurated in the run
The visiting officer laid Foundation stone of milk chilling plant at Shirmal Shopian at an estimated cost of Rs 51.70 lakh, besides inauguration of water conservation scheme Shirmal worth Rs 5 lakh, and a stadium was inaugurated at Potarwall worth Rs.4 lakh.
The visiting officer inaugurated 30 Meter Span Kotan Sadwala Bridge, 1.8 Km road from Kalai to HS Kalai, 02 Km road from Shiv Khori temple to Nabni, 02 Km Sekloo Saloonia road, 1.3 Km road from Sakhi Maidan Kalai to PMGSY road completed at an estimated cost of Rs.1.50 crore, 1.67 crore, Rs. 1.97 crore, Rs 1.05 crore and 89.41 Lakh, respectively.
In addition to this, the visiting officer also inaugurated 2.5 km road from Jugal to Bhatidhat upper, 9.0 km Road from Block Boundary Mdr to Nar length completed at an estimated cost of Rs.70.72 Lakh and 9.6 crore, respectively.
In District Kathua, visiting officer inaugurated road link from Kootah to Shamshanghat via Mata Dangewali completed at an estimated cost of Rs 21.50 lakh, laid the foundation stone of Panchayat Bhawan and Multipurpose Hall at Panchayat Kootah. The twin buildings would be completed at an estimated cost of Rs.1.40 Cr.
The Visiting officer at Panchayat Goshal inaugurated the newly constructed lanes. The lanes were constructed at an estimated cost of Rs 2 Lakh in convergence of MGNREGA and 14 F.C funds.
At Dhar Mahanpur Block visiting officer Inaugurated road link from Shamshanghat to Kutli constructed at an estimated cost of Rs 4 Lakh.
In District Jammu, at Panchayat Tindey Kalan of Block Miran Sahib, the visiting officer laid foundation stone of a Community Bathroom.
At the Panchayat Gazipur Kullian of Block Miran Sahib, the Sarpanch informed that various development works have been completed in the Panchayat including establishment of cremation ground, burial ground, construction of lanes and drains. He said a road to cremation ground at village Narhi identified during Back to Village phase 2 has also been completed.
Panchayat Kotli Shah Dullah of Block Miran Sahib witnessed inauguration of newly constructed link road from main road to village Mehlowal completed at an estimated cost of Rs10 lakh.
In Doda, the DDC, responding to the demands of people passed directions to identify the land for bus stand at Butla. He also directed to formulate a project proposal for the bridge and submit the feasibility report.
Visiting officer laid the foundation stone of 500 m road from Takia to Kalla in district Rajouri to be executed by the RDD department.
In District Kishtwar, the Department of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj also took initiative of repairing of an old Irrigation Khul at Kassanpora Panchayat Kwar of Block Nagseni as this demand was raised during B2V1. After fully functioning of 2km long irrigation Khul it has added a water discharge of irrigating about 250 Kanals of land.
Various other infrastructural projects were started and inaugurated in all the Districts across Jammu & Kashmir.
