Indore, 26th October 2022: A shocking news is coming from a temple in Indore, Madhya Pradesh. Real estate giants have been surprised to hear the bid for a shop in Indore’s famous Khajrana Ganesh temple complex. A 69.50 square feet shop in this temple has been auctioned for Rs 1.72 crore. Giving this information, an official of the temple management said that this bid has been made for a 30-year lease of the shop. This deal is being described as the most expensive one of commercial property deals in the country.

An official associated with the temple said that participating in the tender process, a person has made the highest bid of Rs 1.72 crore for taking out shop ‘1-A’ of the Khajrana temple complex on lease for 30 years. He said that the area of this shop owned by the management committee of the temple is 69.50 square feet. The highest bid has been made for taking it on lease at Rs 2.47 lakh per square foot.

The official said that the tender process for this shop was carried out through Indore Development Authority (IDA). According to the conditions of the temple management committee, only flowers, prasad, and worship materials can be sold in the shop. They said that the minimum reserve price for leasing out this shop was fixed at Rs 30 lakh, and against this, the highest bid was made for almost six times more.

It is worth noting that a large number of devotees from all over the country come to Khajrana Ganesh temple every day, and the shops on the temple premises sell flowers, prasad and worship materials.
