New Delhi, 31st October 2022: The matter of granting parole to Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim, who is serving a sentence in Rohtak’s Sunaria jail in connection with the murder and sexual abuse of sadhvis, has now reached the Punjab and Haryana High Court. In the petition, there has been a demand to quash the parole of Ram Rahim.
In the petition, Advocate HC Arora said that by granting parole to Ram Rahim, the risk of breach of peace has increased. It is also a big challenge for law and order. The petition is likely to be heard soon.
Dera chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim, who came out from Rohtak’s Sunaria jail on parole for 40 days, is currently at Barnawa Ashram in Baghpat, UP. He is accompanied by his daughter Honeypreet and other family members. During this, he is also doing online Satsang. In such a situation, questions are being raised about parole. The Khattar government of Haryana is also in question regarding this. It is alleged that the Haryana government is using Ram Rahim for its electoral gains, so he is being given parole repeatedly. Along with the by-election for the Adampur seat of Haryana, Panchayati elections are also being held in the state. Opposition parties have targeted the BJP government in power. Earlier, whenever there were elections in Punjab, UP and Uttarakhand, Ram Rahim got parole.
Many leaders of Haryana are also going to Ram Rahim’s Satsang to seek his blessings. At the same time, a video of Punjab government minister Fauja Singh Sarri has surfaced, in which he is seen reaching the ashram of Dera Sacha Sauda. This video has gone viral on social media, due to which the opposition is also targeting the government.
