Varanasi, 16th May 2022: During the survey of Gyanvapi Masjid complex, a Shivling was found in the masjid on Monday. The advocates of the plaintiffs had given an application in this regard in the court. The court has issued an order regarding the security of Shivling.

It is believed that the real place of Adi Vishweshwar Jyotirlinga was Gyanvapi. Towards which the face of Nandi present in the Kashi Vishwanath temple complex for many centuries. According to Hindu belief, Nandi’s face is always towards Shivling.

In such a situation, the demand for a survey of the mosque from the Hindu side was arising for a long time because the idol of Nandi was facing the Gyanvapi mosque.

The action taken report presented by advocate Harishankar Jain in this regard was submitted along with the application on Monday. It has been said in the application that on 16th May, Shivling was found inside the Masjid Complex during the commission proceedings of the Advocate Commissioner.

After receiving this letter, the court issued an order in this regard at 12 noon.

While ordering to seal the place, the court stated, “This is very important evidence, so the commandant of CRPF should be ordered to seal it. The District Magistrate Varanasi should be ordered to ban the entry of Muslims there. Only 20 Muslims should be allowed to offer Namaz.

District Magistrate Varanasi is ordered to seal the place where the Shivling has been received with immediate effect. The entry of any person is prohibited in the sealed place. District Magistrate Varanasi Police Commissioner, Police Commissionerate Varanasi and CRPF Commandant Varanasi are ordered to seal this place.”
