Lucknow, 16th September 2022: The Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board (U.P.P.B.P.B), has asked for tenders, to conduct examinations, from companies as well as examination agencies to hold recruitment tests and to select candidates for the 2430 posts in the radio branch. Companies have been given 6th October 2022, 10 am as the deadline to give in these tenders.
The tenders have to be submitted to the U.P Police. A notice by the U.P police recruitment board stated that 539841 applicants have been recorded for the 2430 posts. These posts are of Head Operator, Asst. Operator and Workshop Staff.
The candidates will be tested by the recruitment exam conducting agency. 120 posts of workshop staff in the U.P Police cadre, 1374 posts for the assistant operator, and 936 posts for the Head Operator will be allotted through this exam. In the previous week, the tender process of recruiting constables through a sports quote had begun in the U.P police. 534 vacancies were removed for recruiting constables through sports quota.
The exams will be conducted offline. An Optical Mark Recognition (OMR) sheet will be used to assess the candidates. Whoever gets the tender to conduct the exams will be entrusted with the duty of conducting the test. The company will also have to look into the verification of documents, biometrics, and the selection list. The recruitment board will handle the application data of candidates.
Candidates will be selected for the head and assistant operator position through an online written test. A physical measurement and efficiency test will also be conducted. For workshop staff selection an online exam of 400 marks will be taken. The exam will consist of General Hindi, General Knowledge, Science, Reasoning, Numerical, and Mental Ability tests. The duration of the exam is going to be two and a half hours. The eligible candidates will appear for a Physical Efficiency Test. For men, the test is to run 4.8 Kilometres in 28 minutes. Women have to cover 2.4 Kilometres running in 16 minutes.
