Uttar Pradesh, 21st April 2021: The state government will provide free vaccines to those above 18 years of age. The decision was taken in a virtual cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Tuesday.

CM said that this is why the state government has decided to provide free vaccination to people above 18 years of age. The state government will pursue the vaccination program with its resources.

Welcoming the decision of the Prime Minister, the Chief Minister said that better vaccine management, as well as extensive vaccination work, would prove to be crucial in defeating Corona.

“We have to increase the vaccination centre. A database of people in the target age group has to be created. At the same time, assessing the need for vaccine dosage, producers will also have to make arrangements for its smooth supply”

He also stressed arranging for safe storage and transport, including cold chains for vaccines.

In the meeting, the situation of Covid- 19 was discussed in depth. The Chief Minister said that the State Government is working in the second wave of Corona with the goal of saving both life and livelihood. He said that all the ministers’ in-charge should monitor the status of Covid treatment in the districts under their charge and guide the local administration.

The Minister-in-charge, on a regular review, should make efforts on a war footing to double the number of Covid beds, to ensure smooth availability of all life-saving medicines including an uninterrupted supply of oxygen, Remdesivir injection. He said that the ministers in charge should also look into the ambulance operations and the status of the Integrated Command and Control Center. Necessary guidelines are given to the district administration on mandatory use of masks, awareness to protect from Covid, operation of Quarantine Center, etc.

The Chief Minister instructed to operate the Quarantine Center in each district so that the citizens coming from outside can get relief. It has also been asked to spread awareness in rural and urban areas through the public address system. The Chief Minister expressed confidence that the Corona epidemic will be successful in the state as last year by keeping the public aware and avoiding rumors.
