Gaya, March 12, 2021: The strike will be called on, mainly four days, from 13 March to 16 March, to withdraw the policy of privatization of banks, to stop anti-people banking reforms, to save public sector banks, to continue social banking, to secure public savings and to provide banking services to the common man and others.

All the works of the bank are to be done on Friday itself, as the shutter of the bank will remain dropped for the next four days. All government banks would be closed. March 13 is the second Saturday. 14th is Sunday. On the call of the United Forum of Bank Union, on 15 and 16, the bank workers called a strike and decided not to work. SBI, PNB, Allahabad, Canara, South Bihar Gramin Bank, Bank of India, Bank of Baroda, and all other public sector banks will remain closed. ATM service may also be affected by 13. Around 300 branches of various banks in the district will remain locked. About five thousand bank workers will be on strike.
Bank Employees Federation of India (BEFI) general secretary Navendu Kumar Gupta said, 15 and 16 March, the bank workers would be on strike at the call of the United Forum of Bank Unions. A massive rally will be taken out from Azad Park in the city from 11 am on March 13. GB Road, Collectorate, Kachhari Road, Kashinath Road, Swarajpuri Road Gaya, Bata Mor will end by reaching the Station Railway Union Office.
On the days of the strike, the banks will protest at the gate of the branches and make their presence felt. A turnover of over four hundred is estimated to be affected in two days. Private banks have been urged to remain closed.
