New Delhi, 25th July 2022: Lovlina Borgohain, a Tokyo Olympics medalist has made a tweet ahead of her preparations for the Commonwealth Games. In her tweet, she says that her coaches are not being treated properly and due to this politics she is getting a lot of mental stress.

She tweeted, “Today I say with great sadness that a lot of harassment is happening to me. Every time me and my coaches, who helped me get medals at the Olympics, are harassed by removing them again and again. One of these coaches is also Sandhya Gurungji Dronacharya Awardee. Both my coaches are included in the camp after I requested so many times but the inclusion is too late. I have to face a lot of difficulties in training because of this and mental harassment happens.”

Lovlina further says, “Right now my coach Sandhya Gurungji is outside Commonwealth Village, she is not getting an entry and my training process has stopped just eight days before the Games. My second coach has also been sent back to India. This has happened despite my many requests and it has caused a lot of mental harassment to me. I don’t understand how to focus on the games, because of this my last World Championship was also spoiled and I don’t want to spoil my CWG because of this politics. I hope I can break this politics and bring a medal for my country. Jai Hind!”
