Uttrakhand, 27th July 2021- In the cabinet meeting chaired by the Chief Minister of Uttarakhand Pushkar Singh Dhami, it has been agreed to open schools for the students of classes VI to XII. With the opening of schools across the state from August 01, Covid guidelines will have to be strictly followed. Since August 1 is a Sunday, students will be able to go to school from August 02. Ministers held in the Secretariat have given permission to conduct the Monsoon session of the Vidhan Sabha from August 23 to August 27 in the state. Apart from this, the cabinet has also approved to make Kausani a Nagar Panchayat. The government has decided to provide financial assistance of Rs 50,000 to the economically weaker students for the preparation of the main examination to the candidates who have passed the preliminary examination of Union Public Service Commission and Uttarakhand Public Service Commission.

A four-member committee was constituted under the chairmanship of former Chief Secretary Indu Kumar Pandey to remove the ACP and salary discrepancy of the employees of all the departments of Uttarakhand. The committee has been asked to submit its report directly to the government in a maximum of three months. The land for Pantnagar Green Field Airport had already been selected. Instructions have been given to the Airport Authority of India to submit the DPR within six months by appointing a consultant. The cabinet has also decided to give 50 thousand rupees for the interview for the written examination of NDA, CDS and OTS. The government has decided to give 51 crores for three months salary of roadways workers.
