Riyadh (Saudi Arabia), 22nd December 2022: According to the Saudi Education and Training Evaluation Commission (ETEC), the hijab is no longer permitted in exam rooms.

Female students will not be permitted to wear the Hijab during exams, according to the Saudi Education and Training Evaluation Commission, which is in charge of accrediting educational and training systems along with the Ministry of Education.

According to the ETEC, female students should now wear school uniforms inside test rooms, and all attire should adhere to public decency standards.

In 2018, Saudi Arabia announced that the hijab will no longer be required by law.
