Noida, 8th August 2022: Noida Police has announced a reward of Rs 25000 on Shrikant Tyagi, who committed felonies with a woman in a Noida society. Earlier, an ‘illegal’ construction constructed by Shrikant Tyagi, accused of abusing the woman, outside his residence in Noida, Uttar Pradesh, was demolished.
According to sources, eight teams from the Noida Police have been deployed to arrest Tyagi. A case is registered against Shrikant Tyagi in Police Station Phase-2 of Commissionerate Gautam Budh Nagar. Commissionerate Gautam Budh Nagar Police has announced a reward of Rs 25,000 for the absconding Tyagi.
On Monday, Noida Authority officials reached Grand Omaxe Society of Noida Sector 93, along with laborers, and hammered Srikant’s illegal construction. Immediately after this, the bulldozers also reached and demolished the illegal construction. The women who had been intimidated by Shrikant welcomed the action by clapping. At the same time, people also expressed happiness by feeding each other sweets.
A woman of the society had objected to the planting of some trees by Shrikant Tyagi, citing a violation of rules in the residential society in Sector-93B. Following this, Tyagi allegedly abused the woman and pushed her. A video of the incident had gone viral on social media. Tyagi has been absconding since the case was registered. A large number of policemen have been deployed in the society since last evening. The local people have demanded the arrest of Tyagi soon. More than 1,000 families live in this society.
Earlier, on Monday, Police Commissioner Alok Singh suspended Sujit Upadhyay, Police Station Phase-2, for being negligent in the matter of indecency with the woman. In place of Upadhyay, Paramhans Tiwari, in charge of the monitoring cell, has been made Inspector-in-Charge of Police Station Phase-2. The accused in the case, Shrikant Tyagi, has described himself as the national executive member of the Kisan Morcha of the Bharatiya Janata Party and the national coordinator of its youth committee, while the party has kept a distance from him.
