New Delhi, 2 February 2021: According to Chief Justice SA Bobde, the Supreme Court will soon start a physical hearing in a hybrid manner. The Bar Council of India gave this information. Due to the Corona epidemic, there has been a virtual hearing in the Supreme Court through video conferencing for a long time.
The decision has been taken in the meeting held between Chief Justice SA Bobde, Solicitor General Tushar Mehta, Bar Council of India President Manan Kumar Mishra, and representatives of the Supreme Court Bar Association on Monday to restore the physical hearing in the Supreme Court.
According to the statement issued in this regard, the Chief Justice said that all the judges favor starting the physical hearing. The Supreme Court has to find a way out, and the work will be initiated gradually in this regard.
Manan Kumar said that the Chief Justice had asked the Secretary-General of the apex court to consider the case’s technical problems and resolve them. It is expected that the court will start functioning normally in the first week of March.
