Delhi, 11th July 2021- Amidst the continuous decrease in new cases of corona infection in the capital Delhi, the Delhi government on Saturday issued new guidelines for unlocking in a phased manner. Now from Monday 12th July, permission of the Delhi government will not have to be taken for any kind of education related training. The Kejriwal government has given permission to open auditoriums/assembly halls with 50% capacity in schools and educational institutions for educational training.

The Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) has said in the order that the rules of prevention of Covid-19 will have to be strictly followed along with the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) and other guidelines related to Kovid-19 at all places.

In the order issued by the DDMA on Saturday, it has been said that for the purpose of training and gathering in the schools of the capital, auditoriums and assembly halls will be allowed to open, but students will not be allowed to teach in schools. The DDMA said that auditoriums and assembly halls in schools and educational institutions can be used for training and meetings with 50 per cent capacity. All schools, colleges, educational and coaching institutions will remain closed and online or distance learning will be allowed.

According to the guidelines, training of Delhi Police, Army or skill training of any institution, training of employees and training related to school and college are also included. Along with this, now academic gatherings have also been allowed. It can also be a school-college function, lecture or any other academic program.

DDMA has asked Delhi Commissioner of Police, Principal Secretary (Revenue), District Collectors and their equivalent Deputy Commissioners of Police to ensure strict compliance of the orders and guidelines regarding COVID-19.

These works are still banned

Theatres, multiplexes, swimming pools, spas, schools and colleges, theatres, amusement parks, social, political, cultural, religious and other types of gatherings will continue to be banned as before. These were banned due to the lockdown implemented on April 19 in view of increasing cases of Kovid-19 in Delhi.

It has been said in the order that public transport including Delhi Metro will continue to be allowed to run with 50 percent seating capacity. DTC and cluster buses will also run with 50 percent capacity. At the same time, the activities which are banned, will continue to be banned till 5 am on July 26.

The lockdown was imposed on 19 April due to the second wave of coronavirus in Delhi. After the situation improved in Kovid-19, the government started the process of unlocking in a phased manner and approved construction and production activities from May 31.

Permission to open stadiums and sports complexes

Earlier, from Monday, the Delhi government had allowed all stadiums and sports complexes in the capital to open without spectators. At the same time, permission has already been given to open gyms and yoga institutions with 50 percent capacity. Along with this, marriage ceremonies were allowed in Baraat houses and hotels with 50 percent capacity.

On Saturday, 76 new cases of Covid-19 were reported in Delhi and one died due to the disease, while the infection rate in the city came down to 0.09 percent. This information has been received according to the data shared by the Health Department.

The Covid-19 infection rate had come down to 0.11 percent from 0.12 percent on Friday. According to the latest bulletin, the death toll in Delhi rose to 25,012 after the new death.

According to official figures, on Tuesday, Delhi had 79 cases of infection and four deaths. A day later, there were 93 cases and four deaths. On Friday, the number of daily infections stood at 81 and there were three deaths.
