Bengalur, 27th January 2022: Kempegowda RL, a farmer from Karnataka, was turned away by sales executives of a showroom when he and his friends went to book an SUV for him recently.

It all began when one of the executives insulted him by saying that he won’t have even “Rs 10 in his pocket” let alone Rs 10 lakh for a car. The salesman assumed that they just came to see the cars and not buy them.

Kempegowda felt humiliated at the treatment that was given to him and his friends. So, he returned after some time with Rs 10 lakh to buy his dream car, The Times of India reported.

Before departing the showroom, Kempegowda and his friends challenged the sales executives to deliver the car by today itself if they bring the required cash. Kempegowda told TOI that they thought we won’t be able to pull together that much cash because banks were closed by then.

After the cash was presented in the showroom, the staff were not able to deliver the car.

Kempegowda added, “I’ve asked the sales executive and the showroom authorities to apologise to us in writing for humiliating me and my friends… Now, I’ve lost interest in buying the vehicle.”

After the series of events, the staff delivered a written apology to their customers, and the matter was settled by the police.
