New Delhi, 1st April 2023: The Ministry of Railways in India has launched ‘Bharat Gaurav Trains’ that aim to showcase the country’s rich cultural heritage by connecting significant historical, cultural, and religious places through railways. So far, 29 trips have been conducted across the country. Building on this initiative, the Indian Railways Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) will be launching two yatras:

“Puri – Gangasagar Bhavya Kashi Yatra” on May 16th, 2023, and “Sri Rameshwaram Tirupati Dakshin Darshan Yatra” on May 29th, 2023, both departing from Indore station. These ten-day trips cover several holy destinations and cost Rs. 17,600/- per person and Rs. 18,700/- per person, respectively. The Puri – Gangasagar Bhavya Kashi Yatra covers six divine destinations, including Puri, Konark, Bhubaneswar, Kolkata, Deoghar, Varanasi, and Ayodhya. Pilgrims will have the opportunity to visit significant temples such as Jagannath Puri, Lingaraj Temple, Baba Baidyanath Dham Jyotirlinga Temple, and Kashi Vishwanath Temple, among others. The yatra starts and ends at seven important stations across the state of Madhya Pradesh.

The Sri Rameshwaram Tirupati Dakshin Darshan Yatra covers five divine destinations: Tirupati, Rameshwaram, Madurai, Kanyakumari, and Thiruvananthapuram. Pilgrims will have the opportunity to visit significant temples such as Tirupati Balaji Temple, Padmavati Temple, Ramanathaswamy Temple, Meenakshi Temple, Padmanabhaswamy Temple, among others. The yatra starts and ends at eight important stations across the state of Madhya Pradesh.
