New Delhi, 29th January 2022: India has been continuously sending humanitarian aid to Afghanistan since the capture of the Taliban. In this series, India has supplied the fourth batch of medical aid containing three tonnes of essential life saving drugs to Afghanistan. This medical aid was handed over to Indira Gandhi Hospital in Kabul today. This information has been given by the Indian Ministry of External Affairs (MEA).

The ministry said that India has already supplied three shipments of medical aid, including 500,000 doses of the corona vaccine and essential life-saving medicines, to Afghanistan.

Recently, expressing concern about the situation in Afghanistan, UN Secretary-General Antonia Guterres said that helping Afghanistan is very important for the security of the whole world.

Significantly, since the Taliban occupation in Afghanistan in August 2021, the situation there has worsened. Taliban fighters have imposed a variety of sanctions against women and ordinary people. Since then, the life of the people there has become difficult. The economic condition of Afghanistan has become very bad, this country has reached the verge of starvation.
