Visakhapatnam 03 July 2021: As part of the celebrations of ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav’, commemorating 75 Years of India’s Independence, a virtual Inter School Hindi Kavi Sammelan was conducted by Navy Children School Visakhapatnam from 01 to 03 Jul 21. The theme of the competition was ‘Naman he Bharti – Dhyuti Kriti’. Which was aimed at glorifying India’s rich culture and Heritage, was conducted for students of classes VI to XII and with a special round for Teachers also. There were 124 participants from 22 schools and 58 candidates were selected for the final round.
The competitors had to pass three stages of scrutiny by eminent Hindi Poetess to qualify for the finals. The Valedictory function was conducted on 03 Jul 21 and Cmde Rajvir Singh, the Command Education and Welfare officer & Vice Chairman of NCS (V), was the Chief Guest.
Prizes were given away under four categories The winners were presented with Gift Vouchers. Under Category 1 For classes VI to VIII, the winner was Kaayan from Navy Children School Mumbai while Category 2, for classes IX to X winner was Vartika from Kendriya Vidyalay -2, Visakhapatnam and the Category 3 for classes XI to XII winner was Deepanshu Srivastav from Bhartiya Vidya Bhavan, Prism School, Madhya Pradesh. The winner for the Category 4 for Teachers was Dr Priya Rani, from Navy Children School, Goa. Navy Children School, Mumbai bagged the Best School Award.
