Ahmedabad, 17th May 2022: The Ahmedabad team of the Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) has nabbed four absconding terrorists from the 1993 Mumbai blasts case. These four terrorists close to notorious mafia don Dawood Ibrahim were accused in the Mumbai blasts and have been arrested by the (ATS).
The terrorists are Abu Bakr, Yusuf Bhatka, Shoaib Baba, and Syed Qureshi. Their involvement in the terrorist incident in Jaipur has also come to the fore, and the National Investigation Agency (NIA) is investigating the matter.
Additional Director General of Police, Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) said that the four terrorists have been nabbed from the Sardar Nagar area near Ahmedabad airport. The investigating agency has seized fake passports from them. The four terrorists were trying to flee abroad through fake passports.
After the Mumbai bombings, all four of them escaped. These four terrorists have also worked for a Mumbai smuggler. At the behest of Dawood, these four were sent to Pakistan for training. Three of these people left India in 1995 after the bombings. The ATS is investigating their arrival in Ahmedabad and the people they have met here.
The ATS has informed the Mumbai Police about the arrest of the four terrorists, in the bomb blast case, the Mumbai Police will take all of them into custody and interrogate them and proceed with the judicial process.
In the Mumbai bomb blast case, wanted criminal and notorious mafia don Dawood Ibrahim is wanted and many types of legal notices have been issued against him from time to time by the central government. The four arrested terrorists are said to be close to Dawood Ibrahim. They have been carrying out terrorist incidents at the behest of Dawood in various cities of the country during Mumbai time for a long time. They are also suspected of having links with terrorist organizations.
The Anti-Terrorism Squad is closely interrogating them and their international relations and their complicity with terrorist organizations are being investigated and interrogated.
