New Delhi, 4th March 2023: The All India Entrance Examination for Admission (AIEEA) UG has been abolished, according to a recent statement from the National Testing Agency (NTA). For the academic year 2023–2024, the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) must henceforth adopt the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) format for the admission of UG students to affiliated institutions under the 20% All India Quota.

According to NTA’s notification, “Admission to the listed UG programmes, which was formerly handled by ICAR-AIEEA, will now be handled by the Common University Entrance Test (CUET)-UG for the academic year 2023–24,” . For the academic year 2023–2024, there will therefore be no ICAR–AIEEA (UG) for admission to UG courses in Agriculture and Associated Subjects for 20% ICAR All India Quota Seats.”

The ICAR AIEEA and CUET entrance exams are administered by NTA. Aspirants can still submit their application forms on cuet.samarth.ac.in for the CUET Undergraduate Programs. The form must be submitted by March 12, 2023, at the latest.

The notification further read, “Candidates are advised to visit the website of ICAR www.icar.org.in and read the Prospectus/Information Bulletin on the details such as eligibility with regard to age, passing/appearing in qualifying exam, minimum marks in the qualifying exam, relaxation thereof, subject combinations which they are required to appear in CUET(UG), reservation, admission procedure, etc. regarding admission to UG programmes and be clear before applying for the CUET (UG) – 2023,” the NTA continued.”
