New Delhi, 26th April 2023: The Union Health Ministry reports that 9,629 additional COVID-19 cases have been reported in the last 24 hours, increasing the number of daily cases in India.

According to data from the Health Ministry, 29 deaths were reported yesterday, bringing the total number of deaths to 5,31,398. Six of the 29 recorded deaths occurred in Delhi, followed by three each in Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Haryana, and Uttar Pradesh, two in Haryana, and one each in Odisha, Gujarat, and Chhattisgarh.

There were 61,013 active cases in total. 0.14% of all COVID-19 cases are currently active cases.

The Health Ministry reports that 4,43,23,045 persons have recovered from the disease overall, with 11,967 of those individuals doing so in the last 24 hours.
