Chamba, 5th April 2021: At Dalhousie Public School in Chamba district of Himachal Pradesh, 158 people, including students, have been found covid positive. Chamba CMO Rajesh Guleri said that on March 29, a positive case came to the boarding school. After this, tracing was done and there were reports of 158 people being infected. These include school students, teachers, helpers, and some other people.
All these people have been isolated in the school campus itself. Chamba Deputy commissioner DC Rana told that there were no symptoms in all these patients. All these facilities have been prepared in isolation at school and their health is being monitored regularly.
Rana said that the negative report of Corona was made compulsory for all students joining hostels. However, even after this, a student was tested and he turned positive. After this, we carefully examined all the teachers and students. 158 people have been found positive in this investigation.
These include teachers and students. A total of 800 people were tested. There is a possibility of some more people being found covid positive. In the last few days, Himachal Pradesh has also witnessed a rapid rise in cases of corona infection like in other states.
In the last 24 hours, 408 new cases of corona infection have been reported in Himachal Pradesh. Apart from this, 10 people have also died due to Corona. The number of active cases in the state has increased to 3,577, while so far 1,057 people have died due to corona.
Apart from this, two people died due to corona infection in Mandi and Shimla. The highest number of Corona cases has been reported on Sunday. Apart from this, 57 cases have been reported in Hamirpur, 56 in Shimla, 48 in Kangra and 32 in Mandi. 31 new cases have been found in Una, 29 in Solan, and 13 in Bilaspur.
