Patna, May 7, 2021: After scorching heat in Bihar, the mood of the weather has changed in the last few days. In the last three days, there have been thunderstorms and rain in the state.
The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has alerted that there is a chance that similar weather will continue for the next two days. In the eastern part of the state, there is a possibility of rain and hailstorm with thunderstorms within the next 48 hours. The temperature of the major cities across the state has gone below normal.
There have been expected thunderstorms and light rain at one or two places in several districts of the state. According to media reports, weather experts say that during this time the speed of thunderstorms can be 30 to 40 km per hour.
Within the last 24 hours, light rain has also occurred in many places in the state. Moderate rainfall was recorded at many places including Jamui, Hisua, Razauli, and Triveni.
Some districts in the state including Champaran, Gaya, and Banka witnessed thunderstorms.
The weather remained normal in the capital Patna. Due to the cyclone in the northern part of Madhya Pradesh and the trough line passing through Madhya Pradesh from Bihar, Jharkhand, and the Gangetic coast of West Bengal to Tripura, the weather has been affected.
The sky will be cloudy in North Bihar for the next two days. During this period, light to moderate rain may occur somewhere. Drizzle is also expected in some places. Strong winds can also move during the rains.
